If you are a netizen then definitely you have used Google… And if you have used Google  then its for sure that you have seen the different logos, say Google Doodles. Every time the logo is simple but beautiful and stunning. I am a big fan of the Google Doodles, what about you ?

14th November is celebrated as the Children’s Day in India. It is the birth anniversary of independent India’s first Prime Minister – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Now how can Google forget this ? Definitely it hasn’t.. So on this day the logo will again change. But this time there’s something different they are planning. This time they have asked the students of 1st – 10th standards to make a Google Doodle for the 14th November. Out of the 4000 entries, the top 46 have been selected. The final verdict will be of the netizens i.e. the netizens will have to vote for their favorite doodle and the doodle with the highest votes will be the Google Doodle on the 14th of November 2009.

The last date for voting is the 31st of October 2009. So what are you waiting for ? Vote Now

Looking at the pros and cons:

Positives first

1. Vast collection of search engines.
2. You can have your own tailored searches.
3. The search box widgets can be easily added to iGoogle or your Google toolbar or Netvibes.
4. The dashboard is totally customizable and you can arrange the search boxes wherever you like and even remove the unneeded ones.
5. The sidebar on the search results page shows a good number of other options too, like selecting the time period for your search results, related articles and news, etc..
6. You can also send links for inclusion in the search engine.

Now the negatives:

1. If you are an eye candy web site lover then this site is not for you. (But then for all who can understand Hindi, it is “Dikhave pe mat jao, apni akal lagao..!!” (Don’t just go on the looks, use your brains…))
2. The home page is quite cluttered, it should have been kept somewhat clean.
3. If you don’t use the ‘Home’ button provided on the search results page and go for the browser ‘Back’ button then be ready to click it twice before reaching the previous page.

All in all the web site has more plus points and is really a good deal if you want search results from your handpicked sites. Moreover it is quite user friendly and too easy to use.
